Why it works
Space blanket woven from the Hubble Space Telescope image of NGC 7764A, a trio of galaxies about 425 million light years away in the constellation Phoenix. A cotton throw for the astronomy lover, the science nerd or anyone who still stares at the Hubble photos.
Buy this for
- The astronomy enthusiast who follows telescope discoveries
- A science teacher with a space-themed classroom
- Someone creating a celestial reading nook
- 100% cotton yarn, tapestry grade
- Ships from the USA
Two of the galaxies sit side by side in the upper right and form a shape that looks a lot like a starship. A bigger galaxy at the lower left seems to be striking the pair. Now it can sit on your sofa.
Woven, not printed
The image is woven into the cloth on a jacquard loom, thread by thread, so it won't crack or peel in the wash. Our listing photos are mockups made from the design file. Because the cloth is woven from yarn, the real colors come out softer and slightly more muted than the photos or your screen.
The back
The front displays the main colorway. The reverse shows a more muted version of the same design, created by the jacquard weaving process. See the reverse-side photos for its appearance.

All three hang on a wall perfectly well. We are not here to tell you how to live.
Care

Questions people actually ask
Will the colors match my screen?
Close, but not exact. Woven blankets use a limited palette of real yarns, so pure white reads as a soft bone and gradients become blocks of color. The photos show the actual woven product, not the digital file.
What does the back look like?
The design shows faintly on the back, because it is woven through the cloth rather than sitting on top of it.
What size should I choose?
52" x 37" is a chair, or a very small ghost. 50" x 60" is the reliable couch size. 60" x 80" is big enough to share, if you are into that. All three hang on a wall perfectly well. We are not here to tell you how to live.
Can I wash it?
Yes. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.
