Plenty of them are woven jacquard blankets: 100% cotton, with the design built into the cloth thread by thread instead of printed on top. Nothing to crack, peel or fade, and they get softer every wash. They hang on a wall as happily as they sit on a sofa, which is more than most of us can say.
